lyrics
You pull the pin and lead the herd off the cliff
Stoke the fires of the misdirected
A gold plated insurrection
We should've seen this coming
I guess we'll just have to adjust
It was scattered in the bones
And buried in the dust
What a sorry state we're in
Let the song and dance begin
Inhale, exhale
The emperor wears no clothes
Fear of the other takes its hold
Slowly taking over
Silently hate takes control
Awestruck and speechless
Far from the smartest in the room
A shelf bought rebellion
Abandon all fucking hope,
Ye who enter here
Savour the taste of fear
Inhale, exhale
The emperor wears no clothes
Fear of the other takes its hold
Slowly taking over
Silently hate takes control
Bought and sold
They're falling at his feet
Bought and sold
You're worshipping a fake
They bought you and sold you
You're worshipping a fake
Go build your straw God in the free fall
Let him pull the trigger
Teardown your idols one by one
Your fucking martyr
Slowly taking over
I’ll never worship a fool

If I didn’t know any better, I’d be certain that “Reverence Through Disgust” was kicking off a Cattle Decapitation album with it’s harsh, clanky bass tone further punctuating each note. But what transpires ends up being a much more progressive effort that integrates this aforementioned menacing aggression into compositions more akin to the likes of The Ritual Aura, Exocrine, and Enfold Darkness. Just saw these guys last night at The Bear Cave in Bournemouth, they absolutely smashed it, technical progressive thrash, delivered like a baseball bat to the back of the cranium. Dan O'Gara

There's nothing quite like this. Veering from catastrophically heavy doom to terrifying experimental sci-fi black metal, this gets better with every listen. Absolutely on another planet. DoomBlogMan
