lyrics
You slipped away
And though I tried
The tears don’t come
It’s a guilt I can’t shed now
My second skin
What I didn’t know
I’m sure of now
We die alone
And life moves on
Just skin and bone
And nothing more
Give in, give up
The painful truth
The good fight is done
In the end we all stand alone
Pierce the veil and step into the great unknown
A poisoned gift
a sick matter of chance
All for nothing
What a fucking waste
Time, time is not your friend
You're tragically condemned
To fall between the cracks
And slowly fade away
Regret is painted all over your face
A lamentation that comes in spades
Fill your weary lungs
And scream into the void
Was it all for nothing,
This hurt I call my own?
In the name of nothing
We fall
When is enough enough?
Not every fight you fight can be won
Death is a thief
A lie, a deceit
In his wake he leaves nothing but grief
Try not to get sentimental
The memory still haunts me
But I’ll cast it all away
It’s Masochistic and profane
Corrosive thoughts and prayers
Was it all for nothing,
This hurt I call my own?
In the name of nothing
And no one
The act of living is the art of dying
Cast it all away and live in the moment, the moment
With no god, no promise and no fucking regrets
I’ll see you in hell
Forever cursed, I'll see you in hell

If I didn’t know any better, I’d be certain that “Reverence Through Disgust” was kicking off a Cattle Decapitation album with it’s harsh, clanky bass tone further punctuating each note. But what transpires ends up being a much more progressive effort that integrates this aforementioned menacing aggression into compositions more akin to the likes of The Ritual Aura, Exocrine, and Enfold Darkness. Just saw these guys last night at The Bear Cave in Bournemouth, they absolutely smashed it, technical progressive thrash, delivered like a baseball bat to the back of the cranium. Dan O'Gara

There's nothing quite like this. Veering from catastrophically heavy doom to terrifying experimental sci-fi black metal, this gets better with every listen. Absolutely on another planet. DoomBlogMan
