lyrics
It's just a matter of time
Neck deep but you keep digging
Guilty by association
Lost yourself from the beginning
Don’t think, don’t talk, don’t fucking speak
Suspicion haunts you
And you tell yourself
Deception is the key
Just fake sincerity
The turning of the screw
They'll find you out in time
How sorrowful,
To adopt the coward's role.
Hide behind your fear,
The wolves are at the gate.
Braced for the inquisition
Exposed and sweating bullets
Calm surface with a monster underneath
Don’t speak, don’t speak, don’t fucking speak
Suspicion haunts you
Can you hear the violins?
Deception is the key
Just fake sincerity
The turning of the screw
They'll find you out in time
How sorrowful,
To adopt the coward's role.
Hide behind your fear.
The wolves are at the gate.
Play, play, play the violins
And in the end____the end
They’ll burn you like a heretic
Like a heretic
Watching the embers raining down
Feeding on your imperfection
Corruption takes its toll
And swallows what conscience you may have left
You sold your soul
As well you know
You sold your soul
Just how much do you owe?
Baying for your blood
(The wolves are at the gate)

If I didn’t know any better, I’d be certain that “Reverence Through Disgust” was kicking off a Cattle Decapitation album with it’s harsh, clanky bass tone further punctuating each note. But what transpires ends up being a much more progressive effort that integrates this aforementioned menacing aggression into compositions more akin to the likes of The Ritual Aura, Exocrine, and Enfold Darkness. Just saw these guys last night at The Bear Cave in Bournemouth, they absolutely smashed it, technical progressive thrash, delivered like a baseball bat to the back of the cranium. Dan O'Gara
Texas band draft an all-killer, no-filler love letter to ’70s hard rock and metal, with surging vocals and riffs that command respect. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 4, 2024
There's nothing quite like this. Veering from catastrophically heavy doom to terrifying experimental sci-fi black metal, this gets better with every listen. Absolutely on another planet. DoomBlogMan
